There are a lot of funny and sweet stories from it, but the ones that really touched me were about the people who called this father, a man they have never met, because they couldn’t call their own father on his birthday anymore.
There is a sadness in knowing that I can’t pick up the phone and call my dad anymore. However, there is a Father, our Father in Heaven, whom we always call. It wasn’t until my earthly father passed that I began to understand the father aspect of God.
He is my Father. He is OUR Father. We are His children and we can call out to Him, talk to Him, and just sit with Him any time we need to. How beautiful is that?
