Reflecting Back on Good Friday

On that cross,

My sins nailed through your hands and feet.

They pin you down,

unable to move and speak.

The weight of my transgressions held you in place –

too much for me to overcome on my own.

All of my guild, fear, weakness and shame was placed upon your head –

their weight pushing in the thorns.

It was for my pain that you bled.
