THROWBACK THURSDAY: Psalm 5:3 Poem (September 2020)

Psalm 5:3.

“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”

Breathing in the morning air.

I lay my requests before you,

Presenting them, lifting them up

To your awaiting ears – confidently, expectantly.

I will wait to hear your voice,

The soft whisper which speaks to my heart.

I am hopeful. I am calm.

My head has been lifted from the pillow,

My words lifted from my mouth,

Rising up like incense, they fall gently on your altar.
