I have decided to try something different. On Fridays, I will have a “Fictitious Friday”. Each post will be a 100 word piece based on a photograph. I believe this will help stir my creativity. Maybe it will lead to a story idea? We shall see.
You are welcome to join me in this new adventure. I would love to read your work! If you would like to join in, please leave a link to your story in the comments so others can read your work and feel free to link back to this story. (Use any picture you would like. It doesn’t have to be this one. )
Here we go . . .

Stuck in time, forgotten and unwanted, the sad porcelain clown sits waiting to be chosen. He patiently waits, living in a land of nostalgia and memories.
She stares into his hand painted, sad eyes and wonders where he came from.
“Who loved you?” she whispers as she gently picks him up. He awkwardly goes limp in her arms.
She adjusts the straps on his dark, plaid overalls, straightens his collar and silky shirt. His shoes are freshly polished though the soles are nearly worn through.
How odd, she thinks.
His white fragile face stares up at her.
He says nothing.
